The International Women’s Day is established by the UN in 1975, during the industrial revolution, to vindicate the day struggle of women to participate in society on equal terms with men.
It is currently a day to celebrate the evolution of the social, economic, political and cultural role of women in society. But also to claim and denounce pending cases, such as gender equality in the workplace, women’s rights or sexist violence .
These are some of the causes that have moved the UN to launch in 2016 a new program of objectives for all countries and people to improve our lives and our planet: the SDG ‘s or Sustainable Development Goals .
Our mission at B-wom is to empower women in society through technology and knowledge about their health. That is why it is an honor for us to officially support these objectives, especially the objectives:
We want to create a positive impact on society and this is our way of doing it, giving women the tools to take care of their health, break taboos and raise awareness and educate about the nature of our bodies and the changes we suffer, which in many cases are origin of inequality in the workplace.
We have seen cases of women who have left leadership positions after being mothers because of problems of urinary incontinence. Women who can not access quality healthcare due to economic barriers. Women who do not dare to ask for help to overcome health problems that limit their social life. Or women who do not find help or solution when they decide to talk about an intimate problem.
This is the reason why we have started in the empowerment of women in society. A hidden cause that causes insecurity, low self-esteem and that it is necessary to know and resolve to reach the total equality of women in society.
If you feel identified or think it is important, share to reach more women!
